Agreed to by 193 countries — including the U.S. — at the United Nations in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a common framework to align humanity and tackle our greatest challenges together.

What is American Leadership on the SDGs?
American Leadership on the SDGs is a partnership between the United Nations Foundation and the Center for Sustainable Development at the Brookings Institution. This initiative elevates the often untold stories of the people and places making progress on the issues that matter to us all – and provides tools to help them go even further.
The program is spearhead by a small team at the United Nations Foundation and led by Caroline Kleinfox, Director of U.S. SDG Policy Planning at the United Nations Foundation.
