Sustainable Development Goals Report 2024

The 2024 edition of the UN’s annual report monitoring SDG progress reflects on worrying trends — including growing inequalities, an increasingly acute climate crisis, geopolitical tensions, and global conflicts. It calls for peace, solidarity, and “a surge in implementation.”

Analyzing data from over 200 countries and territories, the report finds that “only 17 percent of the SDG targets are on track” with half of all indicators progressing slowly and over a third “stalled or even regressed.” It empathizes the importance of collaboration and partnerships in course correcting, and dives into data for on each SDG.
