High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development: Voluntary National Reviews
National and sub-national governments committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are encouraged to complete regular, comprehensive, voluntary, and inclusive reviews of SDG progress. Country-level reviews are submitted during the annual High-Level Political Forum, which takes place at United Nations Headquarters in New York City each July. Country-level reports are called “voluntary national reviews” – or “VNRs”.
This website hosts relevant information for states planning to submit a VNR in the current cycle, a repository of VNRs submitted to-date, as well as tools, resources, and other relevant information for country-level SDG progress reviews.
As of July 2024, there are three countries out of the 193 Member States signed onto the SDGs that have not yet completed a VNR: Haiti, Myanmar, and the United States of America.
